For Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, we wanted to capture the spirit of “mutual” status—where the members and the community are one team. By juxtaposing the corporate identity against the grit of a rugby scrum, we visualised the concepts of strength, reliability, and teamwork. It’s a reminder that behind every transaction, there’s a shared passion for the local community.

Designing for a financial institution usually involves stock photos of handshakes and glass buildings. We took a different route.
- The “Ampersand” Connection: The lime green “&” in the logo isn’t just a design element; it’s the visual anchor. It connects “Hinckley” with “Rugby” (both the place and the sport), and the institution with its members. We ensured this vibrant colour popped across all collateral—from corporate gifts handed out at match days to the stationery used in branches.
- Corporate Communication with Character: A key part of this project was the production of Brochures and Annual Reports. Antzdesign utilised high-quality printing techniques to ensure that the brand’s integrity was maintained. We turned regulatory requirements into marketing opportunities, ensuring that even a financial statement felt like a piece of premium brand storytelling.
